Peter Ackerman specializes in collections and subrogation work. I am admitted 27 years, and have had my own practice since 1992. We belong to the Commercial Law League, New York State and Westchester County Bar Associations, and my firm is listed on the National, Columbia, General Bar, Forwarder's and International Lawyer's lists. We also handle a significant amount of insurance subrogation work, and I am a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Our present subrogation clients include Amex Assurance, OneBeacon (CGU), Liberty Mutual, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Fidelity & Deposit of Maryland, Kemper and Budget, to name a few. Our percentage fees are competitive and strictly contingent.

We are very cost conscious, bringing cases in the lowest cost courts whenever possible. We regularly appear in all courts throughout New York City and Long Island, as well as the attached list of counties, which are north of New York City. Although most of my work is in this region, I also forward claims against debtors in other states to lawyers who work on similar fee arrangements. I therefore handle matters against debtors located throughout the United States from the initial demand stage. We perform all post-judgment enforcement work. We also specialize in locating assets, and in post-judgment fraudulent conveyance actions.
